Privacy policy

This page explains what information HD Jewelry collects when you visit our website or shop with us, what we do with it, and the choices you have. HD Jewelry is the trading name of HD Jewelry LLC. The short version: we only collect what we need to run your orders and look after you, and we never sell your information.

What we collect

• When you create an account: your name, email address, phone number and password. Your password is stored scrambled (encrypted), so even we can’t read it.
• When you place an order: the items you buy, your delivery address, your email and phone number, and the order total.
• When you pay: your card or bank details go straight to Authorize.net, our payment processor. We only receive the type of card or account and its last four digits, so we can show you which one you used.
• Saved addresses and payment methods: if you choose to save them, so checkout is quicker next time. You can remove them from your account at any time.
• When you contact us: whatever you choose to tell us by email or phone, so we can help.
• When you browse: our website uses a few small cookies that keep you signed in and remember what’s in your bag. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

• To process, ship and deliver your orders, and to send your receipt, tracking number and delivery updates.
• To run your account, including your order history and saved addresses.
• To answer your questions and handle returns.
• To prevent fraud and keep your account and payments safe. For larger orders, we may ask you to confirm your identity before we ship.
• To keep the records that tax and accounting rules require.

We’ll only send you marketing emails, like news about new pieces, if you’ve signed up for them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

We never sell or rent your personal information. We share only what’s needed with the companies that help us run the shop:

• Authorize.net processes your payments and securely stores any payment methods you save.
• Our shipping carrier receives your name, delivery address and phone number so they can deliver your order. We also use them to check that delivery addresses are correct.
• Our email provider sends your receipts, shipping updates and account emails.
• Our hosting and database providers store the website and your account and order information securely.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our customers or our business from fraud.

How long we keep it

We keep your account details for as long as you have an account. We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting laws require, usually seven years, even if you close your account. Messages you send us are kept only as long as we need them to help you.

Your choices

• You can view and update your name, phone number, addresses and saved payment methods in your account at any time.
• You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Just email info@hdjewelry.us. We’ll reply within 30 days, and we may need to confirm it’s really you first.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under local law. We’ll honor those rights wherever they apply.

Keeping it safe

Our website uses an encrypted connection, your password is stored encrypted, and your full card and bank numbers never touch our servers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take care to protect your information, and we’ll tell you promptly if something ever goes wrong that affects you.

Customers outside the US

HD Jewelry is based in Michigan, in the United States, and your information is stored and processed here. By shopping with us from another country, you understand that your information will be handled under US law.

Children

Our shop is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us their information, please let us know and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes, we’ll also let account holders know by email.
